Alaria is a CHSE® Certified Hanna Somatic Educator.  Comprehensive STOTT PILATES® Instructor and Trauma Informed YT500 Advanced Yoga Teacher

Alaria operates daily out of LIVING WELL MOVEMENT CENTRE in Cobourg. Partnered with a Naturopathic Dr. and Integrative Health Clinic. She sees many clients, typically one on one, dealing with a variety of health concerns like Back Pain, Arthritis, MS, Injuries, PD, Trauma, Neurological conditions, Chronic fatigue and more. Her passion drives her every day in hands on, healing through Bodymind movement.

Alaria has taught Pilates Internationally in England, Scotland, Switzerland, USA and across Canada.

My Pilates Story began in my late 20's, I had gained a lot of weight from sitting at a desk job and eating out a fair amount, so I joined my local kick boxing class. I started doing Kick boxing 2x per week and then added Tae Kwon Do 2x per week.  I learned Pilates as a warm up to our kick boxing class, our teacher gave us a few Pilates moves and it was tough stuff! In about a year I achieved my Yellow Belt in TKD. Shortly after I fractured my foot in a kick boxing class. I needed to continue to work out in non-weight bearing exercise, enter my Pilates at home era and ultimately the beginning of my Pilates journey.

After my foot healed I enrolled in another local class near me in Toronto at The Carrot Common (one of my favourite places to go). This Pilates on the Ball weekend workshop with Author Colleen Craig was my first real Pilates experience and boy did I have FUN!
